The Instagram grid planner in Buffer is excellent. Being able to visually plan how our feed looks before posting is key for our brand. The browser extension is also super handy for grabbing articles and queuing them up for LinkedIn. It's a simple, joyful tool to use daily.

It does one thing well: posting content. But in 2025, I need more. The lack of robust inbox management for comments and DMs means I still have to log into native apps to engage. It's a publishing tool, not a full social management suite. Good for the price, but I'm outgrowing it.

Buffer Essentials is perfect for our small team. We don't need enterprise features; we just need to schedule posts across LinkedIn, Twitter (X), and Instagram easily. The calendar view is clean, and the 'Start Page' feature allowed us to build a link-in-bio quickly. Paying per channel makes it super affordable compared to Hootsuite.
