It can do everything, but finding *how* to do it is a chore. The ribbon is cluttered with features I never use. Co-authoring has improved but still causes sync errors if two people edit the same cell. I use it because I have to for work, but I prefer the simplicity of web-first spreadsheets for personal use.

I've tried Google Sheets and Airtable, but nothing beats Excel for raw power. The new Python in Excel integration is incredible for advanced analysis without leaving the spreadsheet. Power Query saves me hours of data cleaning every week. It handles 100k+ rows without breaking a sweat, which web-based tools still struggle with.

If you're still using VLOOKUP, you're living in the past. The modern array functions like XLOOKUP, FILTER, and UNIQUE make Excel feel like a new piece of software. It's incredibly robust for financial modeling. The subscription model ensures I always have the latest features, which I actually appreciate now.
