Secure cloud storage and sharing for teams of any size.

We’ve tried multiple cloud storage providers, but Dropbox remains the most reliable for syncing large design files across our remote team. Smart Sync and selective sync mean laptops aren’t overloaded. Version history has saved us countless times when someone overwrote a file. It’s boring software in the best possible way.

As a business tool, Dropbox is excellent. Sharing, commenting, and file requests make it easy to collaborate with clients. However, if you’re very privacy-conscious, the lack of true end-to-end encryption (for now) is concerning. We’re watching their Boxcryptor integration closely before committing long term.

I’ve used Dropbox since 2012. The core sync is still great, but the app has picked up a lot of extra stuff—Paper, HelloSign, capture tools—that I don’t really use. The desktop client sometimes feels heavier than it needs to be. I wish there were a ‘minimal’ mode that only focused on pure sync.
