Otter joins my Zoom meetings automatically, records everything, and sends me a summary email. The speaker identification is surprisingly accurate. Being able to search the transcript for 'budget' or 'deadline' later is a superpower. It allows me to actually pay attention in meetings instead of scribbling notes.

The transcription quality is great. However, the 'OtterPilot' bot that joins meetings can be intrusive. People sometimes feel uncomfortable being recorded by a bot. I wish there was a more discreet way to record. Also, the new pricing limits on how many minutes you can upload are frustrating.

I use Otter for interviews. The live transcription lets me see if I got the quote right instantly. The 'takeaways' feature usually captures the main points well. It struggles a bit when people talk over each other, but it's still the best automated tool I've found. The export options are solid.
