If you're in a regulated industry and need deep compliance and approval workflows, Hootsuite is a solid choice. For a small business that just needs to schedule posts, it's overkill. The interface feels like it was designed in 2015. It's powerful, but not particularly pleasant to use daily.

Hootsuite's dashboard is powerful. The ability to monitor multiple streams (mentions, keywords, lists) in one view is great for brand monitoring. The planner and composer are robust. However, it's one of the more expensive tools on the market, and the cost per seat adds up quickly as your team grows.

We were on a legacy plan for years, and then they suddenly increased our price by 400% with very little warning. Support was unhelpful and just pointed to the new pricing page. The tool itself is okay, but there are so many competitors now that this kind of business practice is unacceptable. We switched to Agorapulse.
