A powerful terminal emulator for macOS.

iTerm2 is packed with features, but many of them are hidden in deep menus. I've been using it for years and I'm still discovering new things. The 'triggers' feature, which can highlight text or run a command when certain text appears, is incredibly powerful but took me a while to find. Better documentation would be nice.

Things like being able to Cmd-click on a filename to open it in your editor, or the advanced paste history, are small quality-of-life improvements that add up to a much better experience. The level of customization for themes and profiles is also fantastic. It's a tool built with love for developers.

I can't live without iTerm2's split panes and searchable command history. The built-in tmux integration is also a game-changer for managing remote sessions. It's so much more powerful than the default macOS Terminal. It's free, stable, and constantly updated. A must-have for any developer on a Mac.
