It was perfect when I had 50 listeners. Now that I have 5,000, I'm frustrated. The dynamic ad insertion is buggy and I have little control over what ads play. Support is non-existent—it's just FAQs. I'm moving to a paid host like Transistor to get more control over my RSS feed and monetization.

It's incredible that this is free. I started my podcast with zero budget, and Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor) gave me unlimited hosting and easy distribution to all platforms. The analytics are actually really detailed, showing exactly where listeners drop off. The mobile app lets me record on the go, which is handy for quick updates.

The ability to upload video episodes directly to Spotify is huge. My listeners love seeing the video version without leaving the app. The Q&A and Poll features also drive way more engagement than just social media. It feels like they are actually investing in features for creators.
