For TikTok and Reels, CapCut Desktop is king. The auto-captions feature is incredibly accurate and saves me hours of manual typing. The built-in effects, transitions, and trending audio library make editing fun. It's surprisingly powerful for a 'free' tool (though Pro is worth it for the extra effects).

I tried learning DaVinci Resolve and gave up. CapCut makes sense immediately. The 'script-to-video' AI feature is a bit gimmicky, but the core editing tools are solid. It exports fast and quality is good. It's not for feature films, but for YouTube and social content, it's the best tool right now.

The software is good, but the billing is a scam. I subscribed to Pro on desktop but couldn't use it on mobile without paying again? And then cancelling was almost impossible; the button was hidden deep in settings. I was charged for three months after I thought I cancelled. Great tool, terrible business practices.
