It's mind-blowing that software this powerful is free. I use OBS for streaming to Twitch and recording tutorials. The plugin ecosystem is massive—you can do almost anything. It uses very little CPU compared to other recorders. It takes a while to learn scenes and sources, but once you do, you have total control.

I don't even stream games; I use OBS Virtual Camera to pimp my Zoom calls. I can put my webcam in a circle, show my screen behind me, and add lower-thirds. It makes my remote presentations look like a TV production. Highly recommend learning the Virtual Camera feature.

I tried Streamlabs, but came back to OBS Studio because I wanted full control without the bloat and paywalls. Setting up overlays and alerts takes manual work, but the result is a cleaner stream. If you aren't tech-savvy, it might be frustrating, but for anyone willing to learn, it's the only choice.
