I love Photoshop's capabilities, but recent updates have been unstable. I've had crashes when using the new AI tools, and sometimes the 'Save for Web' dialog just hangs. When it works, it's brilliant. The object selection tool is almost magic. But I find myself fearful of updating whenever a new version drops because I don't want to break my workflow.

Nothing beats Photoshop for pure manipulation power. The new AI Generative Fill is a massive leap forward—I use it daily to extend canvases for different social media aspect ratios. The Neural Filters for skin smoothing save me hours of manual retouching. It has a steep learning curve, but once you know it, you can create literally anything.

I used to use Photoshop for everything, but the monthly cost is just too high for a hobbyist now. I switched to Affinity Photo which is a one-time purchase. Photoshop is definitely 'better' with its AI tools, but not $20/month better for someone who just edits vacation photos. If you aren't a pro making money with it, the subscription stings.
