I've banked with Ally for 5 years. The buckets feature in their savings account is brilliant for organizing money without opening 10 different accounts. No monthly fees, decent interest rates (though they fluctuate with the Fed), and a very clean app. Transfers are fast. I've never had to step foot in a branch, which is exactly what I wanted.

The app is top-tier—clean, fast, and intuitive. Zelle integration works perfectly. As long as you don't have complex issues that require calling in, it's the perfect bank. The ATM fee reimbursement is a nice touch that makes up for the lack of physical branches.

I used to love Ally, but recently their support has been terrible. I tried to add a joint holder to my account and the process took literally weeks. Calls to support resulted in long hold times and untrained agents giving conflicting info. The '24/7 support' claim feels hollow when you can't get a straight answer. I'm considering moving elsewhere.
