For TikTok and Reels, CapCut Desktop is king. The auto-captions feature is incredibly accurate and saves me hours of manual typing. The built-in effects, transitions, and trending audio library make editing fun. It's surprisingly powerful for a 'free' tool (though Pro is worth it for the extra effects).

Cost me $0 with my plan. That convenience alone makes me stay. The app makes tracking my deductible very clear.
Read full review →Semrush is a great all-rounder. However, for pure backlink analysis, I find Ahrefs' index to be larger and more up-to-date. Semrush seems to take longer to discover new links. For keyword research and on-page SEO audits, Semrush is excellent. But if backlinks are your main focus, Ahrefs still has the edge.
Read full review →There are incredible assets on Elements, but also a fair amount of filler. Previewing and filtering for the very best items takes time. For logos and UX/UI kits, I often prefer niche marketplaces. For general creative assets and B-roll, it’s solid.

However, it's extremely expensive, and the price seems to go up every year. It's a cost of doing business, but it's a big one.

It constantly tries to 'fix' intentional sentence fragments or unique phrasing, trying to homogenize my writing style. I have to turn it off when I'm working on a novel. The free version is good enough for most people.
