We manage 50+ writers. Before Originality.ai, we had no way to know who was just using ChatGPT. Now we require a scan report. The ability to scan for plagiarism AND AI in one go is efficient. It has saved us from publishing low-quality AI fluff. It's getting better at distinguishing nuanced AI usage too.

The insights are valuable, but I often find the Lavender sidebar is slow to load within Gmail, which breaks my workflow. Sometimes I've already sent the email by the time it finishes analyzing. When it's fast, it's great, but the performance inconsistency is frustrating.

I run a small syndicate and AngelList makes it effortless. They handle the legal setup, banking, tax documents (K-1s), and distributions. I just focus on finding the startup and writing the deal memo. The dashboard for LPs (investors) is clean and trusted, which makes raising money easier because they trust the platform.

I'm a graphic designer, and while Canva Pro is fast, the lack of precision drives me crazy. You can't tweak kerning perfectly, or manage layers as easily as in Illustrator. It's great for my clients to make their own edits, but for me, it feels restrictive. The subscription cost is getting high for what is essentially a template editor.

Robinhood made investing accessible. The interface is clean, beautiful, and commission-free trades make it easy to start with a small amount of money. It's a fantastic way to learn the basics of the stock market. The new retirement accounts with a match are also a great incentive.

As a business tool, Dropbox is excellent. Sharing, commenting, and file requests make it easy to collaborate with clients. However, if you’re very privacy-conscious, the lack of true end-to-end encryption (for now) is concerning. We’re watching their Boxcryptor integration closely before committing long term.

Grafana Cloud's free tier is incredibly generous. We were able to get Prometheus metrics, Loki logs, and Tempo traces all feeding into beautiful dashboards without managing any infrastructure ourselves. For a small team, it's the perfect way to get enterprise-grade observability for free.
